Our client is an established main contractor working across Europe specialising in the delivery of construction and engineering projects on behalf of global blue-chip clients. They offer a full turnkey service for their clients from design, construction, and handover across the full range of CSA (civil, structural, architectural), MEP (mechanical and electrical) and commissioning works.     

The need now exists for an organised and detail-oriented Document Controller to work on projects within various sectors such as Data Centres, Life Sciences, Advanced Technology, and Fire Protection. As a Document Controller you will be responsible for managing and controlling all project documentation, ensuring that accurate and up-to-date information is available to the project team, clients, and other stakeholders maintaining the smooth flow of information and supporting the successful delivery of projects. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:    

  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive document control system ensuring that all documents are correctly labelled, filed, and easily retrievable when required. 

  • Manage the receipt, distribution, and tracking of all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence. 

  • Review documents for accuracy & completeness ensuring that all documents are updated, reviewed, and approved in a timely manner. 

  • Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely exchange of information. 

  • Distribute documents to relevant team members, ensuring they are informed of updates, changes, or new requirements. 

  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive project information ensuring that access to documents is controlled. 

  • Implement data backup procedures to prevent the loss of critical information. 

  • Proficient in document management software & tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and BIM360. 

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.  

  • Prominent level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing and reviewing documents.  

  • Effective communication skills in English and German, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members and our German clients.
